Tappy Turd is a fast-paced, highly addictive arcade platformer where you take control of a heroic little turd on a quest to survive the endless waves of the dreaded stacked pillars of toilet rolls. While the premise is simple—don't hit the rolls and don't fall—the execution requires lightning-fast reflexes and strategic use of your arsenal.

Basic Controls

Desktop / PC

  • Jump: Press SPACEBAR
  • Shoot: Click your LEFT MOUSE BUTTON

Mobile / Tablet

  • Jump: Tap anywhere on the Left Side of the screen.
  • Shoot: Tap anywhere on the Right Side of the screen.

Enemies & Obstacles

The sewer is a dangerous place. You will need to keep your eyes peeled for two main threats:

  • Stacked Pillars of Toilet Rolls: These massive pillars are your primary obstacle. They spawn at varying heights with a small gap between them. You must carefully time your jumps to thread the needle. Hitting a roll results in instant death.
  • Sewer Flies: These pesky insects spawn randomly and fly straight toward you. If they touch you, you lose a life! However, they are also an opportunity. You can shoot them down with your projectiles to earn coins and clear your path.

Top 5 Strategies for High Scores

  1. Master the Double Rhythm: Unlike traditional tap-to-fly games, Tappy Turd requires a specific rhythm. Don't spam the jump button. Learn the exact arc of your jump so you can tap smoothly to hover exactly in the middle of the screen.
  2. Pre-Fire at the Gaps: Flies often spawn right in the middle of the gaps between the toilet rolls. A great strategy is to blindly fire a projectile right before you enter a gap. This clears the way before a fly even has a chance to hit you.
  3. Hunt Flies for Coins: Coins are essential for unlocking new skins in the shop, and the only way to get them is by blasting sewer flies out of the sky. If you want to afford the legendary skins, you need to play offensively!
  4. Utilize Your Extra Lives: By watching an optional short video ad, you can instantly revive and continue your run. Use them wisely! If you are on a record-breaking run and make a mistake, watching a quick ad is your best chance at topping the leaderboard.
  5. Stay Calm Under Pressure: As your score increases, the speed of the game slowly ramps up. The gaps get tighter and the flies get faster. Keeping a steady heartbeat and not panicking is the ultimate key to a high score.
